What do YOU do for rendezvous?
I don't guess I do much. I will feed people if I have extra food, and always have an extra seat by the fire. I'll help Pilgrims all I can.
I try to be as correct as I can with period dress and camp furnishings to contribute to the atmosphere, and I appreciate your tolerance in realizing that this is an ongoing process - it takes a while to accumulate the right gear. In fact, it might be a never-ending process, as you learn more and more about it and revise your priorities. ;-) I try to pull my own weight and not "camp-dog" TOO much, or at least return favors whenever I can, like helping folks pack up. I try to spread laughter and joy, an easy task with such a willing crowd. :-) I'm about to be the Otancan (Booshway) at a Hanta Yowin doin's soon (my first time at that), and will help with whatever I can at the TAB 'voo that we host in the spring. I know it tales a lot of work to put on any 'voo, and I hope we can all continue to help with that, so no one person gets burnt out on it and we can all keep on havin' FUN!!!
At this time I do not do enough, to repay what is given to me, but I am making my way to doing more. Working with Judy and the other Hanta Yowin Ladies to plan the next doin's we will host. That is one way, but it's fun to see how folks will sweat when they see us coming.
